Every year SHTM
celebrates World Tourism Day on 27th September with equal
passion. Keeping with the global spirit of World Tourism day, a
number of activities are performed. In line with the global theme of
World Tourism Day 2009 “Tourism Celebrating
Diversity”, the tourism club organized an exhibition event
by the name “Duggar Darpan” in the lawns of Amar Mahal to promote
Jammu as a tourist destination. The major highlight of the event
were exhibition by various national level travel agents and tour
operators, local cuisine by JKTDC and cultural evening by various
local artists. The event created a wonderful experience for the
citizens and tourists and a splendid opportunity for tourism service
providers to showcase their product offerings. Some of the students
from the School participated in the National Level Tourism Quiz
Competition held at HP University, Shimla. |
